Session Two: Internationalisation – expanding into new overseas markets

Crowe Horwath, in association with Dublin Chamber, will be hosting the second session of the SME Pinnacle Programme on October 19. During this roundtable discussion guest speaker Bob Etchingham will share insights into:

- Steps to identify and evaluate potential of new markets
- Approach to managing and maximising international operations
John Byrne, Crowe Horwath Tax Partner will provide a brief overview of the implications of international tax on setting up overseas operations.
John will also be joined by special guest Hugo Everaerd, Managing Partner, International Tax, Crowe Horwath Foederer, Netherlands, who will outline the attractiveness of the Netherlands as an option for businesses looking to gain an overseas foothold into the EU.

Robert Etchingham – Chief Executive Officer
Bob Etchingham founded Applegreen in 1992 after working for Esso in the Republic of Ireland and the UK for over 10 years. Mr Etchingham has over 30 years’ experience in the retail fuel market and founded the Group with a clear strategic vision of the Group’s position in the market. He led the rapid growth in the Group’s site numbers in recent years, capitalising on the opportunities presented during the recession in Ireland and Great Britain. He has a Master’s Degree in Economics from University College Dublin.
